Good morning beautiful people <3
Today was our last day. We woke up in Berria very late, because we needed some sleep after so many adventures. It was cloudy, kind of rainy and too late to surf, so we drove down to Bilbao. We were looking for waves everywhere and could not find any. So we had a chill coffee in front of the beach enjoying the little bit of sun that came up.
After that we realised that the only place protected from the wind (& therefore with good waves) was the very same one we passed going to Bilbao. As we are professional and committed surfers, we drove back 45min just to check if we could surf. And surprise there were no waves.
Heide was able to buy some frozen yogurt (she had been craving one the whole morning), as the yogurt place was literaly next to were we parked, coincidence? We don’t think so..
We decided to make the best of it, and as the day was at least sunny (sometimes) we went to a nice spot to have lunch. Some tasty pasta, some vitamin D, and some card games. Something happened guys, Sandra lost at the Puta game against Heide. How can that be possible?? She is obviously better than her (pfff – guess who wrote that).
All in all, we went back to check the waves just in case, still no where to be found, and went back to Bilbao for some (a lot) of Txakoli (white wine) and pinxos. We walked around the city bar hopping for long hours, got drunk. We have some hangover today – perfect condition for driving back 6h to BCN (fingers crossed Sandra will make it back save and sound)

We cleaned Brownie, she is shiny now. Right now we are driving to the airport.
This is a goodbye guys… Thank you so much for following our van trip. We know you are sad that it is over. but don’t you worry, a Morocco trip is comming soon, and we definitely will take you with us <3
