So, hi there guys, what to say about today… We were not lucky at all. The day began in front of a nice supposedly surfing beach, but all we could see was fog. Crazy wheather here in Asturias. We decided to go to Cudillero, a cute little fishing town, and had a sweet breakfast there, good stuff. We walked around, as it was a cloudy day with no waves at all. After that, we decided to go check out the Playa del Silencio (quiet beach), aparently you don’t have to be quiet there, it is just the name of the beach, we did not know. We have to say it was really beautiful, and we went for a swim (Heide had to pee, so there was not much of an option), the water was freaking cold. People were watching us as if we were superheroes.
After that, we needed a warm long shower of course, so we crashed a camping and went for it. At the beggining we thought there was no hot water, and apparently we had to use coins for the shower to work, but we cracked the code. The light switch of the shower was the hiden water button, so all fine after all. We are professional spies, so did not get caught don’t worry guys.
We hit the road and saw some awsome bridges, great architecture here; and obviously some roundabouts, they are everywhere. We were hunting the waves, you know, we are being real surfers here. But they were playing hide and seak. We went to three different spots, and one was more flat than a pancake that the one before. So no surfing today. We saw some locals (and by that we mean cows) and some green landscapes (of course its raining all the time so no mistery there). It was basically our hunting day, cause we were looking for barilla pesto everywhere and could not find it. Had to buy some Gallo pesto intead, would recommend, it was fine, but if you have other options go for those.
By the evining we ended up in the same place as yesterday, it is very comfortable and cute just by the ocean. Hope we wake up to a sunny and wavy day for an early surf sesh tomorrow. We took our chill time here and did some phone calls. Shotout to Alex, Eva, Coco, Alex, and Jakob for their lovely company and stories. Missing you guys from here <3
